Convoluted Tubing to an outer diameter of 65 mm

Technical convoluted tubing products

Pipes of up to 65 mm outer diameter (o.d.) at max. are produced by the following corrugators: UC 15, UC 25, UC 58, UC 65, used for automotive, medical, appliance electrical and many other special purpose use requiring a tube with great flexibility or special features during extrusion not possible under a normal vacuum tank process.

Annular and helical profiles are possible, and many industrial products today have special sections such as cuffs, reduced smooth sections, ovals or even rectangles included in the part design. The corrugators are availble in fixed length mold counts for the simplest straight tubing designs, or in variable length mold sets when requiring a cuff or insert section in an integer multiple of the mold set.

UC15 Corrugated Tubing Machine

For convoluted tubing to 15mm OD

- Mold block length of 28.26mm
- Mold pairs available in 63 - 105 with longer machines available on special order
- Available in vertical or horizontal extrusion direction
- uses blow molding or vacuum forming, dependent on product and material

Typical products are straws, automotive tubing, children's toys, medical tubing.

UC25 Convoluted Tubing Corrugator

For convoluted tubing to 25mm OD

- Mold block length of 56.52mm
- Available in mold pair lengths of 54, 70, 90 and 120
- horizontal extrusion direction only.
- available in blow molding or vacuum forming

Typical products are straw and automotive applications.

UC58 Convoluted Tubing Corrugator

For convoluted tubing to 58mm OD

- Mold block length of 56.52mm
- Available in mold pair lengths of 40 - 90, longer machines are available on special order
- horizontal extrusion direction only.
- available in blow molding or vacuum forming
- high temperature version available as standard design
- Unicor Vario variable length design available as standard offering.

This machine sizing has also been reintroduced with an econo including only the basic corrugator operations. For straight run tubing, this machine model has a low investment but the manufacturing quality of the Unicor machinery.

UC65 Convoluted Tubing Corrugator

For convoluted tubing to 65mm OD

- Mold block length of 75.4 mm
- Available in mold pair lengths of 42, 55, 81
- horizontal extrusion direction only.
- available in blow molding only

Used for vacuum cleaner hoses, sump pump hoses and other generic hose products
